Thinking 'Bout Somethin' - Novo Single Hanson
For English: Go Here.
Exemplos:
* A garota é quem pede respeito, quando ele voltar para casa e, em vez de sair por aí, em busca de aventura, ela prefere ficar em casa, aguardando por ele;
* Em vez de dar um basta e ficar bem com isso, o cara implora à garota que não o deixe;
* Em vez de se decidir por terminar suas noites solitárias, ele se vê cada vez mais solitário e dependente.
.
.
Hanson:
Well I gave you love, you know it
So when did you outgrow it
And decide that you would find another man?
Well you’ve been out there shakin
Tell the boys you’re chasing
When you get home, I’ll be the bigger man
I ain't gonna do you wrong while you're gone
Ain't gonna do you wrong (oo) 'cause I don't wanna (oo)
All I'm askin' (oo)
Is for a little respect when you come home (just a little bit)
Baby (just a little bit) when you get home (just a little bit)
Yeah (just a little bit)
(...)
Hanson:
Well I know your reputation
Cause you send my heart racing
You think I would always be the fool
Well I’ve run out of patience
For this sticky situation
You won’t find me crying that we’re through
Ref.: “Ain't too proud to beg”, do The Temptations, que é completamente o oposto.
Trecho de “Ain't too proud to beg”:
Now I heard a cryin' man,
is half a man with no sense of pride
But if I have to cry to keep you,
I don't mind weepin' if it'll keep you by my side
(...)
Hanson:
Well if you’re not too proud to beg
I can give you some respect
That tune you’re humming is never gonna change
Ref.: “I've been loving you for too long”, do Otis Redding e de novo, “Ain't too proud to beg”, do The Temptations.
#1 Trecho de “I've been loving you for too long”
Don't make me stop now
No baby
I'm down on my knees Please, don't make me stop now
I love you, I love you,
#2 Trecho de “Ain't too proud to beg you”
I know you wanna leave me,
but I refuse to let you go
If I have to beg and plead for your sympathy,
I don't mind coz' you mean that much to me
(...)
Hanson:
Well I’ve got girls in line
Waiting for these arms of mine
Listen up to what I say
Hey, hey, I took my best shot
I’ve had enough of your tainted love you give me everyday
I tried to limit the lonely nights
But darlin please, c’mon c’mon
I’m not gonna make that same mistake
Ref.: “These Arms Of Mine”, do Otis Redding.
Trecho de “These Arms of Mine”:
These arms of mine
They are lonely, lonely and feeling blue
These arms of mine
They are yearning, yearning from wanting you
I've been gettin the love that moves me while you've been gettin around

TV Audiograma: Hanson – Thinking ‘Bout Something

Hanson Release New Single “Thinking ‘Bout Somethin’” And Impress Us With Weird Al Connection
It’s been 13 years since “MmmBop” took over the airwaves and the collective hearts of America’s teens, and yet when most people hear of Hanson nowadays, that’s all they can think of (if they even know who the flaxen-haired brother trio is). Well, we think we need to retire the “MmmBop” references, because these boys have grown over the years—not only are Taylor, Isaac and Zac all married with kids, they’re about to release their eighth studio album Shout It Out, due June 8. PopEater premiered the band’s new single “Thinking ‘Bout Somethin’,” which you can listen to below.
Hanson - Thinking 'Bout Something'
The soulful track has a 60s and 70s big-band vibe with the addition of a funky guitar solo and a brass section. It’s a bouncy, hand-clapping jam we’re sure will get a decent amount of airplay this Summer, so don’t be surprised if there’s a Hanson revival in 2010, folks. The single will be available for purchase on April 27, and the brothers are also set to perform at Bamboozle, as well as five of their own concerts in New York at the end of the month, performing each one of their albums, in chronological order, in full.
Check out a few behind-the-scenes looks at their video shoot in their hometown of Tulsa for “Thinking ‘Bout Somethin’,” which Taylor explains to PopEater as “full of street dancing and loud cowbell and our friend, the brilliant Weird Al Yankovic.” Color us officially excited for this video to drop!

Hanson, 'Thinking 'Bout Somethin'' -- Song Premiere
"The 'Shout It Out' album is an invitation to turn up the music and hopefully ignite a feeling of musical nostalgia and optimism," Taylor Hanson tells PopEater of the record, which drew in guest spots from Funk Brothers bassist Bob Babbitt and horn arranger Jerry Hey, who's worked with Michael Jackson, Quincy Jones and more. "The song Thinking 'Bout Somethin'' and the music video -- full of street dancing and loud cowbell and our friend, the brilliant Weird Al Yankovic -- are the first lines of that invitation."
Taylor takes lead vocals on the funky kiss-off tune, and the soulful inflection of his voice is accompanied by melodic brass, Wurlitzer and a big, catchy chorus made up of Hanson's signature three-part harmony.
The single can be downloaded via iTunes on April 27. Its as-yet-unreleased video, directed by Todd Edwards ('Hoodwinked'), recreates a scene from 'The Blues Brothers' in which music spurs a crowd to dance in the streets. The band's interpretation of the scene brings them to the streets of their hometown of Tulsa, Okla., and includes more than 300 extras: Yankovic, two of Taylor's children (yes, all the Hanson brothers are married with children now), 60 local dancers and hundreds of fans who were invited to the set.
'Shout It Out,' featuring 'Thinking 'Bout Somethin'' and the track 'Give a Little' as single No. 2, will be available on June 8. At the end of April, Hanson are set to perform a sold out, five-night run of live shows in New York, N.Y., where they'll play each of their albums in chronological order. Following those concerts are a handful of Bamboozle appearances and a US tour in support of the upcoming release, which kicks off on July 21. The dates for the tour will be revealed soon.

Hanson and Weird Al invoke spirit of 'The Blues Brothers' for new video. How does this not suck?
If you’d told me yesterday that I would like the video for Hanson’s new single, “Thinkin’ Bout Something,” then I would have said, “I’m fairly sure that’s not true, because I don’t particularly care for them.” And if you’d tried to persuade me otherwise by saying that the clip pays homage to the Ray Charles sequence from the Blues Brothers then I would have suggested that that actually makes it less likely I’m going to enjoy it. And if you’d added that the video also features Weird Al Yankovic playing tambourine in a sexually suggestive fashion then I would have testily remarked upon how this whole conversation was a complete, and rather inexplicable, waste of my valuable time.
But I would have been wrong! The video is a delight, partly because the song itself is a delicious, catchy slice of pop-soul, and partly because some considerable effort has clearly gone into recreating the Blues Brothers scene. For a second, I really thought that was the great Steve Cropper on guitar. Weird Al’s gyrations I could do without, but there you go.
Anyway, check out the video—which is from their June 8-released CD Shout it Out—and then take a look at the relevant movie clip, which you’ll find after the break. Compare, contrast, and tell us what you think!

Advert 2 |
While many people thought Hanson went away, they haven’t gone anywhere. Their fun new music video for their single “Thinking ‘Bout Something,” debuted on the band’s Myspace page Thursday, and received over 400,000 views in the first 24 hours.
The three brothers from Oklahoma hit it big in 1997 with their major label debut, Middle of Nowhere, and the mega-hit song, “MMMBop.” Since then, the band slid out of the spot light, moving from Island Def Jam Records to their own independent label, 3CG Records.
Now, the band is set to release Shout It Out and the music video for “Thinking ‘Bout Something” pays homage to the legendary “Shake Your Tail Feathers,” scene from The Blues Brothers. Taylor, the middle Hanson brother and lead singer, plays the Ray Charles part, rocking the piano. His brothers Isaac and Zac play dual roles as musicians and as dancers. Weird Al inexplicably makes an appearance as a tambourine player in the back ground. It doesn’t really make sense, but it sure is awesome. The video is complete with choreography and large amounts of people dancing in the street. The brothers themselves look like they’re having way too much fun.

Sumido, grupo Hanson lança clipe. Assista
Taylor no novo vídeo do trio
